This was a shot I felt I wanted to share. It's simple, but exactly what I was comfortable with.

SPOOKS!!!

I shot these during our light painting project. It's just very eiry.

Here is my favorite shot from my session with Sal for the project "Exploring the Human Figure." He's so thin; I love how this shot captures that.

This picture leads you to create your own story. You don't know where the light is coming from, you don't know if he's praying or if he's mourning. This shot leads you to imagine what he's feeling.

Also, Doug pointed out his feet. Don't they really look like birds feet?

M'side on a Saturday Night

This was part of our everyday project. We were to try to take the camera everywhere we went for five days. I took this shot on my way down to the mside football game. I really like all the different aspects of the picture, and how you can see the sillouhettes in the foreground, bright colors in the background, and sunlight reflection off the car roofs and yet you can still see the score of the game. So many different level in one pic.

While photographing this couple I was able to catch them off guard. One of the best shoots of the day. Emma
This is one of my self-portraits. I didn't mean to take it. I was actually
just testing my lighting. Emma

My Son

I took this picture of him at my house. He isn't used to cameras or anything like that in his face so he wasn't very happy about being photographed.

South Dakota Pano

I liked this photo more than the one I turned in, but it didn't print very well. I only had one light, and then I cropped it super close and increased the blacks.

These are just some photos I took while I was in the studios. I had my roommates come and model for me. -K.Ras

This are my pictures for self portrait. It was my original idea for contemporary portrait. I really like these because it's a side of myself that most people don't see but this class has helped me explore it. - Chelsi

This is what I call a boot pole and it is located in Rapid. I turned this in as my last assignment, but it had paint on it and I like it better without paint. -K.Ras

Here is my favorite picture from the other night. Erin

This is my roommate and I took this picture for the interacting with the print surface assingment. I plan on doing some things to the picture once printed but I liked it without doing stuff to the print too so I thought I'd post it. What do you guys think?   - Chelsi

Film Noir

I was sitting in my room when I saw this outside my window. I loved the sunset that night so I took a picture. As I was looking through them I found this one and loved it. I tried it in black and white and thought it looked good. I was wondering what everyone thought of it for film noir.      - chelsi

Self-Portrait

This is a picture of my friend Yuri's eye.  I zoomed in more in Lightroom so that you can see me taking the picture of her and that's why I call it self-portrait. And yes those are fake eyelashes on top of her real eyelashes but I really like that you can see both sets. -leslie

This is one of my nocturnal pictures.  I like it because it reminds me of those ghost-like shows or pictures back in the past.  I was just wondering what you guys thought of it. -leslie

Nocturnal

From the beginning of this project, I thought about ghostly images for "nocturnal."  My roommate volunteered to be my model, so she put on a light-colored, flowy dress and walked around Eppley.  I had the camera set on a 30 sec. shutter speed, and then I had her take a step and then stop for 5 seconds.  At the end, I had her stop for about 15-20 seconds so that she would show up more at the end.  While these didn't end up looking the way I originally thought they would, I like how you can see through her.  They definitely pull off the ghostly feel, what do you think?

Here is photo that I took recently. I wanted to play with light some more, but this time I wanted to play with light that I could not control, like lights on poles or lights on the road. This is what I came up with. -Katie Ras
